Meli Meli is a 2 bedroom, one bath Kauai vacation cottage, with a large living room and full kitchen. It is decorated in a whimsical South Seas decor, with vivid colors, patterns and textures. The exterior is painted bright yellow and is surrounded by coco plams - you'll know you're in the tropics from the second you arrive!

The kitchen is fully stocked, and includes such items as a dishwasher, microwave, blender, toaster, mixer, etc. The cabinets are painted in lacquer red and trimmed with bamboo.

The spacious living room / dining room in this Kauai cottage has high ceilings and is accented with four large original photographs. A built-in punee (Hawaiian sleeping couch) offsets the two armchairs, while a large Chinese armoire houses the stereo and extra linens. The glass dining table rests atop the trunk of a coconut tree.

The master bedroom has a king size bed with a hand-stitched Hawaiian quilt.

The guest bedroom has two twin beds covered in vintage Hawaiian bedspreads and a large bureau. Both bedrooms share a bathroom (with bathtub and shower). There are two outdoor showers if one prefers to wash the sand off under the stars - one is located amidst the concealing leaves of the banana trees!

Amenities include a bamboo pavilion that seats eight (shared with the other cottage), a portable crib, high chair, beach chairs, barbeque, cooler, boogie boards, hair dryer, beach towels, and everything else I could think of so you would only need to bring your clothes.

The garden received as much attention as the cottages. Flowering vines drip from the fences, coconut leaves rustle in the wind , fruit hangs from the trees, orchids and herbs compete for your attention and a majestic banyan and 17 palm trees stand guard over all.
